This month's newsletter covers the upcoming Information Security World 2022 in Frankfurt and the InfoSec in Healthcare conference in Cham. In addition, we prepared an article about the complementary detection capabilities of EDR and NDR, as well as an insightful review of the highly relevant "SOC visibility triad" concept. Lastly, we are celebrating our 2nd anniversary with our close partner ensec.
The Exeon Team wishes you an exciting read.

As recent cyberattacks revealed, Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR) offers insufficient protection from sophisticated threats. In order to fill in the security gaps of EDR, organisations must reinforce their cyber defences with Network Detection & Response (NDR). Read the full article on the drawbacks of EDR and the combined detection capabilities of EDR and NDR here.
In 2015, while writing a Gartner SOC paper, Anton Chuvakin developed the "SOC visibility triad" concept, consisting of SIEM, EDR and NDR. In a recent article, the author reviews his findings and concludes that the security visibility model is stillhighly relevant today. However, Anton Chuvakin stresses the increasing significance of application security visibility. As ExeonTrace also analyses application logs, our NDR solution is at the forefront of the evolution of application security and offers complete network visibility.
