Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS) offer automated detection of known cyber threats through their signature-based detection capabilities. However, IPS are unable to detect zero-day exploits and cannot analyse encrypted network traffic, which amounts to 80-90% of global network communications. Metadata-based NDR solutions such as our ExeonTrace can overcome these flaws and offer more holistic network protection. Read the full article by All about Security.
While endpoints enable users to connect to enterprise networks and utilise company resources, they also significantly expand the attack surface and make organisations vulnerable to malicious cyberattacks. Although Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR) solutions can monitor these endpoints, they are unable to detect emerging threats in numerous IoT devices, as well as legacy switches and routers. NDR solutions can help fill these security gaps and establish more reliable corporate network protection. Read the full article by B2B Cyber Security.
